Job Summary
Equity Circle seeks a Finance & Compliance Analyst to support financial reporting, tax management, and regulatory compliance to support the CFO in delivering timely, accurate financial reports and ensuring full compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory obligations. This role is critical to strengthening our internal reporting, improving decision-making, and maintaining the company’s financial integrity. Candidates must have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, and proficiency in Excel or accounting software.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports including P&L, cash flow, and performance dashboards.
- Analyse budget vs. actual results and highlight key variances.
- Support the CFO in preparing investor or board reporting packs.
- Maintain and update financial models for decision support.
Tax Management:
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all taxes (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Company Income Tax, etc.).
- Liaise with FIRS and LIRS on tax matters and maintain proper documentation for audits.
- Keep the company updated on changes in tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Generate and file annual tax returns and ensure all remittances are properly recorded.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Coordinate the filing of annual returns with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Ensure the company’s business permits, licenses, and certifications are up to date.
- Monitor and maintain compliance calendars to ensure no deadline is missed.
Documentation & Internal Controls:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive digital and physical filing system for all financial and statutory documents.
- Ensure all transactions have valid documentation and support audit readiness
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for financing, investor due diligence, and regulatory reviews.
Requirements:
- B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero is a strong advantage) and Microsoft Excel.
- ICAN or ACCA certification (or in view) is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Interested and qualified candidates must reside on the Island or its environment.
Remuneration: NGN 200,000 - N250,000 Monthly Net.
Work Mode: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
