Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements including forecasts, actuals, variance analysis, and commentary.
- Prepare quarterly Balance Sheet reports and ensure proper reconciliations are completed.
- Analyze trends in revenues, costs, and expenses to identify areas for improvement.
- Forecast sales, expenses, cost of sales, gross profit margins, and net profit margins.
- Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis for all expense categories (OPEX, CAPEX, Direct Human Capital Costs, Marketing Expenses, GENEX/ADEX).
- Support monthly and quarterly tax compliance activities (PAYE, VAT, CIT filings) with relevant financial data.
- Collaborate with HR and Department Heads to forecast workforce costs and direct resource expenses.
- Prepare financial dashboards, models, and reports for senior management review.
- Support quarterly audit preparations and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Ensure adherence to financial controls, reporting standards, and company policies.
- Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and suggest improvements.
- Participate in strategic projects (e.g., process automation, financial system upgrades).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (or in progress) such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of proven work experience as a Finance Analyst, Financial Accountant, or a similar role.
- Experience working in a logistics, supply chain, e-commerce, or services company is a plus.
- Familiarity with tax filings and regulatory compliance in Nigeria.
- Strong understanding of forecasting techniques, budget planning, and variance analysis.

- Ability to interpret complex data into meaningful and actionable business insights.

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) for preparing management reports.

- Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, CIT) is an advantage.
