Esbest Emporium is recruiting Field Officers to support the growth of our SME loan services in Ibadan. The Field Officer will be responsible for identifying and engaging SMEs in local markets and business clusters, verifying potential clients, supporting them through loan applications, and ensuring repayment compliance. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Scout and identify small and medium businesses that require financing
- Educate prospective clients about Esbest Emporium’s loan products, requirements, and repayment terms
- Conduct field visits and preliminary verification of loan applicants (business location, operations, etc.)
- Guide clients in completing loan applications and collecting required documentation
- Follow up with clients on repayments and provide reminders when necessary
- Report market activities, customer feedback, and loan performance to management
- Promote Esbest Emporium’s solar appliance solutions where power challenges affect SMEs
- Build long-term relationships with SMEs to increase loyalty and referrals
Requirements:
- OND/NCE or higher (relevant experience in microfinance or field marketing can substitute education)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with small business owners
- Experience in sales, field marketing, or microfinance is an advantage
- Ability to work independently in different areas of Ibadan and meet set targets
- Good knowledge of local markets, SME clusters, and community dynamics
- Honest, reliable, and able to handle sensitive financial information responsibly
Remuneration: NGN 90,000
