Job summary
A Cashier is responsible for accurately handling customer transactions, receiving payments, issuing receipts, and providing friendly customer service while ensuring proper cash handling and a smooth checkout experience. Job location is Sagamu, Ogun State.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, courteous service
- Accurately process sales transactions using cash registers or POS systems
- Receive and handle payments (cash, card, transfers) correctly
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly cashier area
- Balance cash drawer and report discrepancies at the end of each shift
- Assist customers with basic inquiries and resolve minor issues
- Follow company policies, security procedures, and customer service standards
- SSCE, OND, or equivalent qualification
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
- Well-groomed and presentable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
