The Farm Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, monitor farm income and expenditures, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role requires strategic planning and cost control efforts across the farm's operations.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date ledgers of all farm transactions (sales, expenses, payroll, etc.)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Track inventory and depreciation of farm equipment and assets.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets.
- Monitor departmental spending and provide variance reports.
- Analyse the cost of production across various farm units (e.g., livestock, crops, feed processing).
- Process employee salaries, deductions, and contributions.
- Maintain PAYE, pension, and other statutory remittance schedules.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure the timely submission of tax-related documentation.
- Liaise with warehouse and procurement teams to monitor input purchases.
- Track usage of feed, medications, and materials for accurate costing.
- Ensure proper documentation and valuation of farm inventory (inputs and outputs).
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Implement and monitor accounting policies and control procedures.
- Work closely with farm managers, warehouse staff, and admin teams to ensure accurate data collection.
- Provide financial insights for farm operations and project planning.
- Stay informed about changes in local and national financial and agricultural regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Within age 27-35 years, prefrably female.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting (experience in agriculture is a plus).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and integrity in handling financial data.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with agricultural operations is an added advantage.
Location: Ekuoma, Delta State
Remuneration: NGN 300,000 (PAYE tax & Pension inclusive)
