Digital Communications Officer

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a digital communications strategy that aligns with our mission and target audience.
  
• Create, manage, and publish high-quality, culturally relevant content across our website, newsletters, and social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
• Write and curate tailored content for various membership groups.
• Develop and translate research, programs, and insights into accessible digital narratives and visual campaigns.
• Lead the promotion of digital events, media outreach, and partnerships and regularly monitor metrics to track audience and community engagement.
• Develop creative ways to showcase impact and storytelling for our audience.
  
• Stay on top of philanthropic giving trends and development sector events.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in the non-profit or communications sector.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, International Development, or relevant field.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills: attentive listening and observation, transparency, emotional intelligence, collaboration, and clear communication.
  
• Talented writer and creative concept designer (graphic design skills are a plus)
• Exhibit strong organization and time management skills and ability to independently manage daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about storytelling and deeply committed to African-led philanthropy.
