We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Analyst/Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processes and analyze workforce data to optimize operations. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in payroll administration with strong data analytics skills to ensure accurate employee compensation, compliance with statutory requirements.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

  • Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee details.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll regulations.
  • Coordinate with the HR and Finance departments to verify payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute employee pay statements and tax forms (e.g., W-2, P45).
  • Handle inquiries related to payroll and resolve issues in a timely manner.


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze workforce and payroll data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to generate data-driven insights for budgeting, workforce planning, and compliance monitoring.
  • Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Automate repetitive data processes using relevant tools and technologies to improve efficiency.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll administration and/or data analytics.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly to stakeholders.
