Credit Officer

• Perform initial appraisal of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications Interview applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loans.
• Conclude on all applicable financial and non-financial criteria Follow up with clients to clarify important points.
• Review and evaluate loan applications and ensure completeness of documentation.
• Assess the creditworthiness of applicants and determine loan eligibility.
• Analyse credit risk and make recommendations on loan approvals and rejections.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the loan disbursement process and ensure timely delivery of funds.
• Monitor loan accounts and ensure timely repayments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of loan transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service to borrowers and resolve any queries or issues.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the lending industry.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in credit operations or Lending operations is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of relevant rules and regulations of lending Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Quick Learner, Self-driven and motivated to excel.
