Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Greet customers warmly, address inquiries and ensure a positive transaction experience.
- Conduct end-of-day cash reconciliation, tallying cash and electronic transactions, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Handle financial transactions for customers and marketers efficiently, minimizing errors.
- Report transaction discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or operational concerns to management promptly.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly regarding financial transactions and data security.
- Keep the cashier station neat and organized, contributing to a welcoming environment.
- Work closely with team members to maintain smooth daily operations and assist in training new cashiers when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong numerical and data entry skills with attention to accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle high-volume transactions while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Familiarity with POS systems and electronic payment processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and report transaction discrepancies.
- Ability to follow financial compliance and security protocols.
- A team-player mindset, with a willingness to assist in training new hires if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
