Job summary
The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing wooden structures, furniture and fixtures according to specifications and blueprints. The role ensures high-quality craftsmanship, adherence to safety standards and timely completion of projects in construction, maintenance, or workshop settings.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Construct, repair, and install furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, and other wooden structures.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and finish of all carpentry work.
- Maintain and operate carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
- Collaborate with other construction or workshop staff to complete projects efficiently.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area and follow safety and hygiene protocols.
- Report material shortages, tool malfunctions, or project challenges to supervisors.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in this role.
- A minimum of an SSCE
