Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids, including technical and financial proposals, in response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFQs (Requests for Quotations) from clients in the oil and gas industry.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand the client's needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to craft winning proposals.
- Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate costs, resources, and timelines required for successful project execution, ensuring that bids are both competitive and profitable.
- Compliance: Ensure all bids comply with legal, regulatory, and company-specific requirements, including HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
- Documentation: Compile all necessary documentation, including qualifications, certifications, past project portfolios, and references, to support bid submissions.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Post-Bid Activities: Follow up on submitted bids, address any clarifications or revisions requested by the client, and manage post-bid negotiations until contract award.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with project bids and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Educational Requirements: Minimum of HND/BSc in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in bidding within the oil and gas industry, with a demonstrable track record of successfully executing bids and contracts.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the oil and gas sector, including industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive bid proposals.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of securing favorable terms and building lasting client relationships.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven Track Record: Must provide evidence of successful bidding experience, including references and examples of past projects.

- Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry: Only candidates with substantial experience in bidding for projects within the oil and gas sector will be considered.
