Job summary
We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to support practical accounting, audit, and tax compliance work across Nigerian and U.S. jurisdictions. This internship offers hands-on exposure to practical accounting, audit, and tax compliance work across Nigerian and U.S. jurisdictions. Interns will support real client engagements while learning to use modern ERP finance systems in a professional services environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support audit documentation, evidence gathering, and compliance checks
- Work on Nigerian tax filings and related compliance tasks (FIRS)
- Assist with U.S. tax documentation and filing processes (IRS exposure)
- Support business registration and statutory compliance activities
- Maintain accurate and well-organised client records
- Use Odoo and SAP Finance applications for accounting and reporting (training provided)
- Handle sensitive client data with professionalism and confidentiality
- Provide clear written updates on assigned work and progress
Core Learning & Work Areas:
- Practical Financial Statements preparation
- Audit support and working paper documentation
- Nigerian Tax compliance (FIRS filings and statutory requirements)
- U.S. Tax exposure (IRS documentation and filing workflows)
- Tax filing, compliance, and statutory reporting
- Business registration and regulatory documentation
- ERP-based accounting using Odoo and SAP Finance
Requirements (Must Have):
- Academic background in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong interest in taxation, audit, and financial reporting
- IT savvy and comfortable working with digital tools
- Willingness to learn and work with Odoo and SAP Finance
- Ability to work remotely with structure and discipline
- Availability to report once weekly to the Lagos or Abuja office
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Tools & Systems: Odoo Finance, SAP Finance, Google Workspace (required)
Nice to Have:
- Basic understanding of Nigerian tax systems (FIRS)
- Introductory exposure to U.S. tax concepts (IRS)
- Prior accounting internship or firm experience
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets

Duration: 3 months
Internship Type: Paid
Remuneration: NGN 70,000 Monthly
Work Mode: Hybrid (Remote + Weekly Office Presence)
