Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date in accordance with standard accounting practices.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to management for improved financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
• Prepare and file timely tax returns for individuals or the organization.
• Support internal and external audit processes and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor budgets to support organizational financial goals.
• Forecast future financial performance based on historical trends and market dynamics.
• Conduct financial audits to validate the accuracy and integrity of records.
• Provide financial planning support to guide business decisions and strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (HND may be considered with experience).
• Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
• Proven experience (1–3 years) in accounting or a similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present financial data clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
