Job Summary
We are looking to hire a diligent, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Accountant to manage and oversee our financial records and transactions. Responsible for maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, daily financial entries and reconciliations, and preparing financial reports for management.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Monitor daily cash flow and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely billing and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Track inventory costs and coordinate with the stock and procurement teams to maintain accurate stock valuation.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations; prepare and file VAT, PAYE, and other relevant tax returns.
- Support budget planning and financial forecasting processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial procedures.
- Advise management on cost control, financial risks, and operational improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
