Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and review departmental accounting policies, procedures, and processes.
• Verify supporting documents for validity, accuracy, and completeness, and capture the payments and/or receipts on the accounting system
• Capture and maintain master file information (creditors, debtors, payroll, assets) on the accounting system
• Prepare the Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements and supporting working papers
• Perform General Ledger reconciliations (including bank, suspense, and interdepartmental accounts)
• Manage General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledger reconciliations (including bank, debtors, creditors, suspense, and interdepartmental accounts)
• Perform month-end and year-end accounts closure process
• Provide accounting and financial information and responses to risk, audit, and other assurance providers.
• Provision of all information required by the internal or external audit for periodic review.
• Ability to use the sage software
• Any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of Bachelor’s degree in accounting or its equivalent 
• Member of ICAN or ACCA
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing organization
• Effective written/oral communication skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Computer literacy.

Location: Ibafo, Ogun State

Remuneration: NGN 250,000 - 300,000
