Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Carry out administrative duties within the Finance department such as filing, binding, and scanning of documents.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions.
- Record account payables and account receivables.
- Review the expenditure list against cash advance as well as transactional invoices and receipts submitted by employees and vendors.
- Ensure that payments from clients are properly recorded and accounted for daily.
- Keep accurate records of all transactions and generate periodic reports.
- Adhere strictly to the company’s financial policies/procedures.
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Conduct regular financial audits to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- BSc /HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN)
- 3 - 5 years’ post-NYSC work experience, preferably in the Construction & Real Estate sector.
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
