Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out administrative duties within the Finance department such as filing, binding, and scanning of documents.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions.
  • Record account payables and account receivables.
  • Review the expenditure list against cash advance as well as transactional invoices and receipts submitted by employees and vendors.
  • Ensure that payments from clients are properly recorded and accounted for daily.
  • Keep accurate records of all transactions and generate periodic reports.
  • Adhere strictly to the company’s financial policies/procedures.
  • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Conduct regular financial audits to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.


Requirements

  • BSc /HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN)
  • 3 - 5 years’ post-NYSC work experience, preferably in the Construction & Real Estate sector.
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
