Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation and posting of financial transactions into QuickBooks software.
  • Daily Reconciliation of Income/sales received via Point of Sales (P.O.S) Machine, transfers, and Cash with the bank statement.
  • Preparation of Monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements to be supervised by both FC and Finance Director.  
  • Assist in the branch inventory documentation and stock-taking exercise on weekly basis in conjunction with the branch manager.
  • Ensuring daily Banking of Cash Sales and keeping of Bank Tellers.
  • Maintaining financial records and keeping the accounting documents safe.
  • Handling financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Safeguarding organization assets by carrying out regular spot checks.
  • Updating weekly inventory Control file and sharing same with Office.
  • Complete the Monthly closing process.
  • Follow up with Credit Customers if applicable.
  • Collecting Data, Preparing Balance Sheets, and Profit and Loss Accounts in conjunction with the Finance Controller.
  • Directing the Cashiers by coordinating their activities and answering queries if any.
  • Coordinate the activities of the storekeeper at the branch level in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
  • Collation of Suppliers’ invoices on weekly basis.
  • Preparation of branch staff payroll in conjunction with FC.
  • Preparation of statutory returns e.g taxes, pension, etc schedules in conjunction with the FC and the Tax Consultant.
  • Supply information needed by the FC for cash flow forecast.
  • Any other job may be assigned by the CFO or Finance Director.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Academic qualification of a University degree preferably with a higher degree in a financial discipline or a professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Technology savvy with experience in the use of accounting and reporting software
  • A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills that support and enable sound decision-making.
  • Excellent Leadership with great team working skills.
  • Must be proactive and a quick thinker with good analytical skills.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office package efficiently.
