Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Documentation and posting of financial transactions into QuickBooks software.
- Daily Reconciliation of Income/sales received via Point of Sales (P.O.S) Machine, transfers, and Cash with the bank statement.
- Preparation of Monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements to be supervised by both FC and Finance Director.
- Assist in the branch inventory documentation and stock-taking exercise on weekly basis in conjunction with the branch manager.
- Ensuring daily Banking of Cash Sales and keeping of Bank Tellers.
- Maintaining financial records and keeping the accounting documents safe.
- Handling financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Safeguarding organization assets by carrying out regular spot checks.
- Updating weekly inventory Control file and sharing same with Office.
- Complete the Monthly closing process.
- Follow up with Credit Customers if applicable.
- Collecting Data, Preparing Balance Sheets, and Profit and Loss Accounts in conjunction with the Finance Controller.
- Directing the Cashiers by coordinating their activities and answering queries if any.
- Coordinate the activities of the storekeeper at the branch level in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
- Collation of Suppliers’ invoices on weekly basis.
- Preparation of branch staff payroll in conjunction with FC.
- Preparation of statutory returns e.g taxes, pension, etc schedules in conjunction with the FC and the Tax Consultant.
- Supply information needed by the FC for cash flow forecast.
- Any other job may be assigned by the CFO or Finance Director.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years experience working in the Hospitality Industry.
- Academic qualification of a University degree preferably with a higher degree in a financial discipline or a professional qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the hospitality industry.
- Technology savvy with experience in the use of accounting and reporting software
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills that support and enable sound decision-making.
- Excellent Leadership with great team working skills.
- Must be proactive and a quick thinker with good analytical skills.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office package efficiently.
