Account Officer

Responsibilities:

• Work with a team of Accountants and reporting to the Financial Controller to achieve the following:
• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and loan accounts.
• Monitor loan disbursements, repayments, and interest income.
• Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and internal records regularly.
• Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, and financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Coordinate with loan officers to ensure accurate client financial documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and report financial risks or irregularities.
• Carry out reconciliation of the client's loan and relate directly when needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• B.Sc or equivalent certification preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services or loan companies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Serving NYSC members can also apply.
• Age: 23-30 years

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of loan accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and internal control procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good Team player

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Remuneration: NGN 100,000 - 140,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
