Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Management:

  • Resource Generation and Maintaining Profitability
  • Sound Financial Management System
  • Manage Cost and Balance Budget
  • Manage company finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor revenue and expenses to ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to improve profitability.


Payroll Management:

  • Sound Financial Management System
  • Manage Cost and Balance Budget
  • Prepare monthly payroll for in-house staff and field personnel, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain records of salaries, deductions, and benefits in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Address payroll-related queries and discrepancies efficiently.


Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Ensuring Compliance Through Improved Reporting and Transparency
  • Sound Financial Management System
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Assist with tax planning and filing, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.


Administrative Support:

  • Maintain organised financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other documents.
  • Provide administrative support for other departments as needed.
  • Coordinate with external auditors or consultants during financial audits or reviews.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Aptitude for identifying and resolving discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Professional and clear communication with staff and external stakeholders.
  • The capability to explain financial concepts to non-finance staff.
