Position

The purpose of this position is to support the BU‘s worldwide with Functional Ingredients / Additives. Together with the Innovation Team you will promote, sell, support and service this new activity. You will focus on both internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • The Account Manager Functional Ingredients is the main point of contact for all stakeholders working with Functional Ingredients.
  • Responsible for full commercialization of the Functional Ingredients portfolio. Responsible for advising, sales and expansion of Functional Ingredients. Collecting market feedback and share it with the organization.
  • Accountability for creating a Functional Ingredients sales budget and delivering upon this.
  • Identifying trends and developments in the market and translating this in collaboration with colleagues into new products and concepts for the market to improve customer results.
  • Coordinates global production and pricing of Functional Ingredients together with Manager Micro’s.
  • Training of commercial colleagues around the globe to support them to sell Functional Ingredients in their respective markets.
  • Stimulating cooperation with various other BU’s and maintain business unit/client focus.
  • Working closely with Manager Micro’s, the Global Innovation Functional Ingredientsdepartment and the Purchasing department. Business Units take care of sales to end users (commercial and technical, regional registration, regional marketing, invoicing, etc.).
  • Focus on BU’s and customers all over the world. Business travels are regularly. (approximately 30% of the time)
  • Profile

    For this position we expect higher educational background or proven level by working experience in the field of animal nutrition. Furthermore at least 5 years’ experience in a commercial role and proven knowledge of Functional Ingredients. You are the professional who is able to manage and motivate people around the world, and to influence within this area of expertise.

    You will build and maintain an international network, consisting of customers, prospects, industry peers, agricultural authorities and export promotion agencies. We are looking for an account manager with impact on the own departments result and indirect the BU’s results. The account manager is the ambassador of Koudijs regarding Functional Ingredients. 

    To be successful we hope you see yourself as an entrepreneur with an independent mindset, and a good negotiator. You are a teamplayer with a winner mentality. You need to be fluent in the English language. Knowledge of the Dutch language is a big plus.
