Job Summary

A Tech support & Printer technician manages, maintains, and repairs printing systems hardware and software. You are required to troubleshoot issues related to the company's accounts or any other miscellaneous tasks in the field and in the office as determined by your manager. We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the technical support position. Technical support officers troubleshoot technical issues, provide timely customer feedback, and support the roll-out of new applications, among other duties. Moreover, technical support officers need to talk to customers directly, as well as create written documentation, requiring excellent written and verbal communication. Their responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing faults, resolving network issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, and designing and printing of identity and access cards. Our office is situated at Alausa, Lagos.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying hardware and software solutions.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults.
  • Resolving network issues.
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software.
  • Speaking to customers to quickly get to the root of their problem.
  • Providing timely and accurate customer feedback.
  • Talking customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
  • Following up with clients to ensure the problem is resolved.
  • Replacing or repairing the necessary parts.
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
  • Providing support in the form of procedural documentation.
  • Managing multiple cases at one time.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies.
  • Conducting electrical safety checks on equipment.


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Windows/Linux/Mac OS.
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient repair with selective customer training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to train the end users
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication



Skills

  • Knowledge of Basic Networking.
  • Computer and analytical skills.
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Complete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error-free.
  • Provide accurate feedback with close call information, parts usage reporting 
  • Must be able to problem solve, conduct is written and verbal communication, and read and comprehend technical information.
