QA Engineer / QA Tester
Job summary
BlueOcean is hiring an experienced QA Engineer to ensure that software products delivered to American AI and technology clients are stable, reliable, and production-ready. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, structured, fast, and capable of testing complex web, mobile, API, and AI-enabled systems. This role requires someone who can prevent avoidable production defects, create strong test coverage, and work closely with engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, regression tests, and release checklists.
- Test web applications, mobile applications, APIs, dashboards, integrations, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs clearly.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, usability, and cross-browser testing.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure issues do not recur.
- Support release readiness and production quality checks.
- Build or maintain automated tests where applicable.
- Improve QA processes, test documentation, and product stability practices.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of QA/testing experience.
- Strong manual QA experience across web and mobile products.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, Insomnia, Swagger, or similar.
- Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools.
- Good understanding of regression testing, release testing, acceptance criteria, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience with automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or similar is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and structured documentation.
- Excellent English communication.
- Experience testing AI features, SaaS platforms, fintech, marketplaces, or enterprise software is a strong advantage.
