About the role

We are looking for a solid Frontend Engineer who is highly skilled in Next.js, React, and modern frontend development to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis.

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, technically strong, and able to build modern, scalable, high-quality user interfaces with strong performance, maintainability, and user experience in mind. We need someone who can contribute quickly, write clean and reliable code, and help us deliver sleek, production-ready frontend applications.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with React and Next.js, understands advanced frontend engineering concepts, and is comfortable working across the full development lifecycle from requirements and UI implementation to optimization, testing, and release support.

What you will do

• Build, enhance, and maintain high-quality frontend applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies
• Develop scalable, maintainable, and performant UI components, pages, and frontend modules
• Translate product requirements and designs into polished, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces
• Work closely with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver strong end-to-end user experiences
• Apply advanced frontend development concepts including component architecture, state management, performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design
• Integrate frontend applications with APIs, authentication flows, and backend services
• Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and usability
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and well-structured code aligned with engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve application quality and frontend reliability
• Support testing, release readiness, and continuous improvement after launch

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Next.js and React
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of modern frontend engineering concepts and best practices
• Experience building responsive, high-performance, and scalable web applications
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture and reusable design patterns
• Experience with frontend state management approaches and data-fetching patterns
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, frontend debugging, and optimization
• Experience integrating APIs and backend services into frontend applications
• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience working with version control, code reviews, and collaborative engineering workflows
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with server-side rendering, static generation, and hybrid rendering in Next.js
• Familiarity with frontend testing tools and frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright
• Experience with modern UI frameworks, design systems, and reusable component libraries
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows
• Experience working on complex production-grade frontend applications
• Experience ramping up quickly in a contract-to-hire environment
