Reservoir Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Carry out production forecast and reserves estimate.
• Provide reservoir engineering support during drilling, completion, workover, and tubing operations
• Design DST, MDT, well testing, Bottom Hole/Surface Fluid Sampling, and Pressure Surveys, and to provide necessary quality checks during these operations; To analyze all DST, MDT, well test, BHP, and PVT Field / Laboratory information using up to date reservoir engineering tools and methods to accurately predict wells/reservoir performance for the best interest of the company.
• Carry out reservoir and wells production performance studies with a view to recommending optimum reservoir management strategies for enhanced productivity.
• Work with the team to coordinate all Maximum Efficient Rate (MER) reports and provide realistic production forecasts for the company’s strategic planning purposes.
• Carry out reservoir management/simulation studies/ history matching.
• Strong demonstration of static and dynamic modelling skills for simulation, with good skill in the use of PETREL RE, Eclipse, OFM.
• Design various reservoir fields and identify appropriate tools to resolve reservoir engineering issues and develop support packages for new wells.
• Strong fundamental understanding/experiences in fluid mechanics, porous media flow, computational fluid dynamics
• Develop reservoir performance predictions, including decline analysis and material balance on existing assets
• Prepare forecasts for business plan and monthly production outlook.
• Support / review deterministic and probabilistic estimates of in-place hydrocarbon volume
• Gas well experiences an advantage.
