Carpenter

Responsibilities:

• Build and repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, them using hand tools.
• Regular maintenance of all wooden structures and fixtures – inspect, clean, and ensure the integrity and aesthetics of all wooden elements.
• Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Installing wooden structures such as roofing framers, joists, partitions, rafters, and stud work
• Couple furniture and wooden work using appropriate tools.
• Designing, installation, repair, and maintenance of cabinets, shelves, drywall, and insulation
• Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
• Joins materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
• Creates wooden forms for pouring concrete or for tunnels, bridges, or sewer construction projects.
• Install windows and doors.
• Adheres to local building and safety measures, codes, and guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirement:

• NABTEB, Trade Test, or Diploma in Woodwork (Carpentry)
• Proven work experience of 4 years or more as a Professional Furniture Carpenter in a reputable furniture manufacturing company.
• Critical, innovative, and creative thinking skills
• Excellent carpentry and joinery craftsmanship skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer-oriented with a positive and cordial attitude.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
