Job Summary
We are recruiting for the position of an innovative procurement officer to join our procurement team. You will be involved in the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as providing guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. Our procurement officer will be experienced in supply chain and logistics and will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Monitoring stock levels and planning the purchasing policy well in advance.
- Having an accurate knowledge of competition: who they are, what prices they have, and their products.
- Analyzing consumer buying behavior and predicting future trends.
- Attending trade fairs/events and sourcing for new products.
- Liaising with various teams within the organization to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
- Producing and presenting Monthly sales reports.
Requirements:
- Must be a quick learner that quickly finds efficient ways to solve problems.
- Academic qualification of HND/ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or similar.
- 1 year and above work experience in a similar capacity
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations or operations.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Location: Lekki phase1, Lagos
- Candidates must live on Lagos Island
Remuneration: NGN 70,000.00 per month
