Network Engineer Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and other network technologies
• Conduct regular network performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, and provide technical support to end-users
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units, to identify and resolve network-related issues
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and inventory
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and best practices, such as ITIL and ISO 27001
• Participate in network-related projects, such as network upgrades, migrations, and expansions
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security technologies
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve network performance and reliability
• Provide technical training and support to junior network engineers and other IT staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or related roles
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and best practices, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, QoS, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and others
• Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPN
• Hands-on experience with network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices
• Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Nagios
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• CCNP or CCIE certification is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex network solutions and architectures
• Experience with cloud networking technologies, such as AWS VPC and Azure Virtual Network
• Experience with network automation and scripting tools, such as Ansible and Python
• Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) concepts and technologies
