Medical Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:

• Supporting diagnostic tests and procedures across various areas of laboratory medicine, preparing and handling samples
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
• Assisting in sample analysis
• Recording and organizing test results
• Collaborating with Medical Laboratory Scientists and other healthcare staff to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Contribute to maintaining laboratory systems and ensuring compliance with safety and procedural guidelines
• Managing the customer service aspect of the business from the front desk.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in basic Medical Laboratory Technology and diagnostic support techniques
• Strong laboratory skills, including sample collection, preparation, and handling
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and best practices in medical testing
• Familiarity with quality control standards and safety protocols in healthcare labs
• Close attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under supervision
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, or a related field
• Certification as a Laboratory Technician or equivalent is an advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork
• Understanding of compliance and safety standards in laboratory environments
