Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications under appropriate supervision.
• Receive, organize, label, and store medications appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and pharmacy stock.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock or near-expiry medications.
• Assist with stock-taking and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure proper storage conditions and maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.
• Attend to patients professionally and provide appropriate non-clinical assistance regarding prescriptions and medication collection.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and other members of the clinic team.
• Follow the clinic’s policies, procedures, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
• Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification/certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Appropriate registration/licensing where required.
• Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, community pharmacy, or similar healthcare environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of medication handling and pharmacy inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Professional, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
