Manager Power Plant, Dangote Cement Plc

Dangote Cement Plc, is seeking an experienced Manager Power Plant to oversee the operations of its Power Plant facility.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Power Plant facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Manage and train plant personnel, including oversight of performance evaluations and safety training. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and maintenance schedules for the power plant. Coordinate with other departments within Dangote Group, such as production and maintenance, to ensure timely and effective communication and problem-solving. Monitor power plant performance metrics, including efficiency, availability, and capacity factors, and develop plans to improve them as necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies and company policies. Develop and manage the department budget and capital planning process. Provide regular updates to the Head, Power Plant on the status of plant operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. 18+ years of experience in power plant operations, including experience in a managerial role. In-depth knowledge of power plant equipment and systems, including turbines, boilers, and electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to manage personnel and resources effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
