Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on smartcard manufacturing and personalization machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals for accurate diagnostics and repair.
• Ensure minimal downtime by responding promptly to equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and follow up on recurring issues.
• Support the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machinery.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures during maintenance activities.
• Work shifts as needed to support production schedules and deadlines.

Requirements:

• B.Eng. or HND in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 2–3 years in smartcard or precision electronics manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience with card manufacturing/personalization machines.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Demonstrated expertise in both preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Willingness to work in shifts and meet production deadlines.
• OEM or industry certifications related to smartcard machinery are a strong advantage.
