Job Summary
This role is to design, develop, and take responsibility for the installation of ship machinery and related equipment including propulsion machines and power supply systems.
- Minimum Qualification: HND
- Experience Level: Senior level
- Experience Length: 10 years
Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment and machinery to draw up work requests and job specifications.
- Oversee the testing, installation, and repair of equipment.
- Inspect repair work in progress as well as sea trailing vessels after completion of repairs to ensure the adequacy of the work.
- Conduct environmental, operational, or performance tests on machinery and equipment.
- Maintain records of engineering department activities including expense records and details of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Assistance to Wire Line and Well Head Departments
- Procure materials needed to repair equipment and machinery.
- Examine the reliability and integrity of vessels by looking at their seaworthiness, safety, and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of HND in any engineering-related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of proven work experience as a Maintenance Coordinator
