Job summary
A top-tier stockbroking firm, duly licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria and the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), is seeking a competent and detail-oriented IT Support Officer. The company provides a comprehensive range of investment and financial advisory services to private, corporate, and public sectors.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Resolving hardware, software, and networking issues for users, either in person or remotely.
- Installing and upgrading computer hardware, software, operating systems, and printers.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Creating new user accounts, managing permissions, and resolving password issues.
- Implementing IT security measures, such as a firewall, anti-virus, and performing data backups.
- Maintaining an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Documenting procedures, system configurations, and maintenance logs for troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- HND/B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years’ relevant IT support experience (preferably within a stockbroking or investment banking environment).
- Relevant IT certifications will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, networking fundamentals, and basic server administration.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards.
- Experience in supporting trading or stockbroking systems is an added advantage.
