Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Selection: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various positions within the restaurant. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, utilizing both traditional and innovative methods. Coordinate with department managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies. Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate suitability and cultural fit.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, issues, and grievances. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting open communication, resolving conflicts, and addressing employee concerns promptly and confidentially. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Mediate disputes and facilitate resolution between employees and management as needed.
  • Training and Development: Develop and administer training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. Conduct training needs assessments and collaborate with department heads to identify training priorities. Organize workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions to support professional growth and career advancement. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to meet organizational goals.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance expectations, goal alignment, and development plans. Track and analyze performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for recognition and reward.
  • HR Administration and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance, and leave records. Prepare and process payroll in collaboration with finance department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements. Stay abreast of changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring HR policies and practices remain in compliance with legal requirements. Prepare and submit reports to management as required, summarizing HR metrics, trends, and insights.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field. Experience in HR, preferably in hospitality.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
