Growth Marketing Associate
Job summary
In this role, you will execute day-to-day growth tactics (cold emails, social media, CRM management) under close founder mentorship. We need someone organized, detail-oriented, and hungry to learn—not someone with a perfect marketing resume
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Outreach & Lead Generation (40% of your time):
- Research and build lists of potential customers
- Send personalized emails to prospects (you'll start with 20-30/week and ramp up to 50-75/week as you get comfortable)
- Follow up with interested leads and track every conversation
- Keep our CRM updated daily so nothing falls through the cracks
Social Media & Community (30% of your time):
- Post regularly on Twitter/X about our products and the problems we solve
- Engage authentically in online communities (Reddit, Facebook groups) where our customers hang out
- Answer questions and build relationships (not spam or hard selling)
- Track what content drives actual signups
Operations & Tracking (20% of your time):
- Keep our CRM and spreadsheets organized
- Track key metrics: signups, trials, conversions, where leads come from
- Create simple dashboards so we can see what's working
- Document processes so future team members can follow them
Content & Projects (10% of your time):
- Help write blog posts, landing page copy, and email sequences
- Collect customer testimonials and success stories
- Support product launches and special campaigns
Requirements:
- Some marketing or sales experience: (0-2 years is fine): This could be internships, freelance work, college projects, or your first job. We care more about your attitude and potential than your resume.
- Strong communication skills: You can write clear emails and social posts. You're comfortable talking to strangers (customers, prospects, community members).
- Organized and detail-oriented: you keep track of things. You follow through. When you say you'll do something, it gets done. You don't lose leads in the cracks.
- Eager to learn: You ask good questions. When you don't know something, you figure it out (Google, YouTube, asking for help). You take feedback as a gift, not criticism.
- Comfortable with repetition: Growth is built on consistently doing small things. Sending 50 emails, posting daily, updating the CRM—these aren't glamorous, but they work. You're energized by seeing small efforts compound into big results.
- Genuine interest in helping small businesses: Our customers are solo practitioners trying to compete with bigger firms. You care that they get tools they can afford and actually use.
Nice-to-Haves (Not Required)
- Experience with cold email or outreach
- Active on social media (especially Twitter or Reddit)
- Comfortable with tools like spreadsheets, CRM software, or analytics
- Background in SaaS, tech, or professional services
- You've freelanced or run your own side project before
