Field Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

IoT Device and Sensor Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain IoT devices and sensors at designated cell sites.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues.

Daily Monitoring:

• Monitor real-time data from IoT devices and sensors to identify abnormalities or potential issues.
• Implement a proactive approach to detect and resolve problems before they impact the operational efficiency of the cell sites.

Issue Resolution:

• Respond swiftly to alarms, alerts, or reported issues related to IoT devices and sensors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, coordinating with relevant teams for resolution.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize the risk of system failures.
• Implement software updates, patches, and upgrades as needed.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all IoT devices, sensors, and maintenance activities.
• Generate reports on the performance and health of cell site equipment.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network Operations, IT, and Field Technicians to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to site management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of OND degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
• Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols
• Should have a laptop and the basic installation tools of an Engineer
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to various sites within assigned states.
• Proven experience in managing IoT devices and sensors in a telecommunications or related industry will be an advantage.
