Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing existing operations, livestock, staff, and financial documents and recommending improvements.
- Preparing plans and schedules for feeding, breeding, kidding and ensuring staff understands expectations.
- Visiting the different divisions to inspect livestock and execute routine vaccinations.
- Ensuring minerals, supplements, pesticides, and other livestock supplies are regularly restocked
- Scheduling repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery as may be required
- Handling the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm like goat kids, poultry, dairy, meat, and feeds.
- Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety regulations on the farm.
- Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
- Collaborating with executives to prepare budgets and financial reports.
- Building professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in animal science, or equivalent.
- Additional courses in business management or administration are recommended.
- Extensive experience in a farming-related field.
- Management experience would be a plus.
- A passion for agriculture.
Remuneration: NGN 80,000 - 120,000 Based on experience and proven competency.
