Job Summary

We are recruiting a contractual position for a Lawyer.

  • Minimum Qualification: Degree
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

 

Legal:

  • Creation, Sign Off and maintaining data of all Telecommunication Agreements signed by the company with their clients
  • Creation, Sign Off, and maintaining data of all Agreements signed by the company with their partners and vendors.
  • Ensuring the company functions as per the Law of Land and Legal framework is adhered to
  • Advise and represent clients in courts, before government agencies, and in private legal matters

Human Resource:

  • Identifying recruitment requirements in various departments of the company
  • Creating the Job Description and taking approval of the same from the HOD & Directors of the Company
  • Recruitment & selection
  • Performance management
  • Learning & development
  • Succession planning
  • Employee Rewards & Recognition management
  • Employee welfare & feedback management
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Attendance Management
  • Payroll Management in coordination with Finance Department
  • HR data and analytics
  • Creating and maintaining  a Cohesive, Efficient & Productive culture in the organisation

Key Relationships:

  • Managing Director
  • CIO & other Directors
  • All HODs
  • All Employees


Skills Required:

  • Fair Knowledge of Telecom Technologies:
  • Internet Bandwidth & Leased Circuits
  • Smart Solutions & Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Internet Broadband

Soft Skills & Characteristics:

  • Excellent communication skills – Oral & Written
  • Strong knowledge of Laws, Intellectual Property Rights, Copyrights and patents according to Nigerian Law
  • Strong knowledge of Labour Laws of the country
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with employees

Academic Qualification:

  • Graduate in Law, Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • NYSC Certified


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 - 6 years of experience in HR & Legal Department in Telecommunications Industry with a fair knowledge of laws & by laws of NCC and other communication agencies.
