Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction and infrastructure projects
- Conduct site inspections and supervise construction activities to ensure work aligns with design specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare engineering documents including drawings, calculations, reports, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Ensure all work is compliant with local regulations, codes, and environmental standards.
- Utilize civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Review and approve design changes and provide technical guidance to junior engineers or technicians.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, identifying potential risks and mitigating issues early.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in civil engineering or related roles.
- COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) certification is mandatory.
- Strong technical skills in structural design, materials, geotechnics, and hydraulics.
- Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
