Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections to assess the integrity and load capacity of existing concrete structures.
• Develop or review anchoring designs and method statements in line with structural engineering standards.
• Supervise or execute core drilling operations for anchor bolts/steel rods in reinforced concrete.
• Ensure proper application and curing of structural adhesives for chemical anchor systems (e.g., Hilti, Fischer, or equivalent).
• Coordinate with the structural and solar design teams to verify the alignment and stability of mounting systems.
• Inspect and verify correct torque application and alignment during anchoring and installation.
• Document installation steps, tests, and verifications for quality assurance and compliance.
• Prepare reports, risk assessments, and technical documentation as required.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental guidelines throughout the installation process.

Requirements:

• B.Eng or HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (a COREN registration is an advantage).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural works involving chemical anchors or retrofit concrete anchoring.
• Proficiency in interpreting structural and construction drawings.
• Hands-on experience with adhesive anchor systems and related tools (drilling rigs, epoxy injection systems, etc.).
• Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ASTM E488/E1512, ETAG 001, Eurocode 2) for anchoring in concrete.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
