Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design plans for furniture and carpentry projects.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to build custom furniture pieces and structures.
- Operate woodworking machines, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Sand, finish, and polish completed items to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
- Repair or refurbish existing furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Ensure all projects meet quality standards and are completed within timelines.
- Collaborate with designers, clients, and other team members to meet project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and adhere to all safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or furniture maker.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of carpentry tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
