The individual shall perform different sales, marketing and operational duties in a bookstore. They would work within well-defined procedures and be in constant contact with customers.

Job Description/Requirements

  • Checks incoming shipments against orders and invoices, and resolves reconciliation problems. 
  • Responds to customer questions about merchandise and policies.
  • Operates standard office equipment. 
  • Assists in pricing books and other merchandise.
  • Sells merchandise and operates cash registers. .
  • Enters and retrieves data, and produces records and reports using inventory management systems.
  • Arranges for returns to publishers and wholesalers.
  • Assists in bibliographic searching and ordering. .
  • Unloads and arranges new stock.
  • Supervises temporary employees. 
  • Balances cash register
