Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Manager to lead our digital storytelling and expand our online presence. In this role, you will manage content across key platforms, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter (X), and YouTube, sharing real-time updates and compelling narratives from our sports, education, and youth development programs. This is a dynamic, hands-on position for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, works independently, and has a strong passion for youth-focused content and digital community building.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a consistent content strategy aligned with Awatown Hub’s mission and activities.
- Capture and share real-time moments from on-ground programs and events.
- Create engaging posts, short-form videos, stories, and visual assets for Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
- Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, authentic voice.
- Monitor content performance, analyze insights, and adapt strategies to increase reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure content reflects current activities and priorities.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing social media platforms for a brand, organization, or cause.
- Strong storytelling, copywriting, and content creation skills (especially short-form video and mobile-first content).
- Ability to work independently, respond quickly, and multitask across platforms.
- Proficiency in content tools such as Canva, CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Deep understanding of youth culture and digital engagement strategies.
- Familiarity with Awatown Hub’s mission areas, sports, education, and youth development is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of hands-on social media experience
- Skilled in mobile content creation: video and photo editing
- Strong writing/captioning skills, clear, relatable, and on-brand.
- Comfortable using basic tools (e.g., Canva, CapCu, InShot)
- Able to work independently with quick turnaround
- Familiarity with football youth culture or community work is a plus
