Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Intern to join our team and assist in elevating our brand’s online presence. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or current student in Mass Communication with a passion for social media trends, content creation, and digital engagement. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in a hands-on environment, working alongside experienced team members to drive engagement, increase our followers, and help maintain a cohesive brand voice across all social platforms.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, engagement opportunities, and relevant conversations.
  • Support the development of visual and written content, including graphics, videos, and captions.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct research on current social media trends and popular hashtags to maximize content reach and engagement.
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide reports on growth, engagement, and campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute campaigns aligned with the brand’s voice and goals.
  • Assist in managing the content calendar to ensure consistent posting and alignment with strategic objectives.


Requirements:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • 0-1 year of experience in social media management or content creation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new digital tools and trends.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Passion for keeping up with social media trends, algorithms, and analytics.
  • Basic understanding of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Remuneration: NGN 60,000
