Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Feed pigs according to schedule and nutritional guidelines
- Provide clean water at all times
- Clean and disinfect pig pens regularly
- Monitor pigs for signs of illness or injury
- Assist with vaccination and medication under supervision
- Support breeding and farrowing processes
- Record daily activities (feeding, health checks, mortality, etc.)
- Maintain farm equipment and tools
- Assist with the loading and transportation of pigs when necessary
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC (additional agricultural training is an advantage)
- Prior experience in livestock or pig farming is preferred
- Physically fit and able to work in farm conditions
- Basic knowledge of animal care and hygiene practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Willingness to work weekends or extended hours when required
