Job Summary

The Marketing Officer is responsible for promoting the company's products and services, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and building strong relationships with customers to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the banking sector and a deep understanding of financial products, customer behavior, and regulatory constraints.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns to promote banking products (e.g., savings accounts, loans, credit cards, digital banking).
  • Collaborate with product and business development teams to design customer-centric marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.


Sales & Business Development:

  • Generate leads and convert them into active customers through targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Promote retail and corporate products to individual clients, SMEs, and large organisations.
  • Support cross-selling and upselling efforts at the branch and regional level.


Customer Engagement:

  • Organise promotional events, campaigns, and customer outreach programs.
  • Manage client relationships, respond to inquiries, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with relationship managers and front-line staff to align marketing with sales goals.


Digital & Content Marketing:

  • Create and manage content (social media, website, email marketing).
  • Monitor online customer engagement and campaign performance using analytics tools.
  • Suggest improvements to digital user experience and customer onboarding processes.


Compliance & Brand Management:

  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Uphold the company brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone and message across all channels.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree/HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of marketing experience in the financial services or banking sector.
  • Solid understanding of banking products, customer segmentation, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools.
  • Experience in managing campaigns, analysing metrics, and generating reports.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in product launch, branch-level marketing, or mobile/digital banking promotion.
  • Familiarity with in financial marketing compliance (e.g., advertising approvals, disclosures).


Remuneration: NGN 300,000
