Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine our overall marketing strategy to support brand awareness, acquisition, and retention.
- Own our messaging and positioning, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
- Develop a go-to-market strategy for the product launch and ensure it has a clear narrative, promotional plan, and cross-channel support to drive excitement and sales.
- Plan seasonal and evergreen campaigns that align with product launches, gifting occasions, and customer buying behaviour.
- Identify new growth opportunities including partnerships, influencers, offline activations, or emerging platforms.
- Oversee the marketing budget, allocating spend across channels and initiatives based on performance, priorities, and seasonality.
- Work closely with the founder and other departments to ensure marketing is aligned with business goals.
- Create and manage a unified content plan across email, social media, paid ads, and blog, ensuring each channel supports the overall marketing goals while tailoring messaging to suit the platform.
- Plan, manage, and execute multi-channel campaigns across email, paid social, organic social, content, and influencer marketing. For example, a seasonal Valentine’s Day promotion or a new product launch.
- Write or edit copy and content for campaigns, articles, email marketing, social posts, and more
- Maintain and update the content calendar, aligning with product launches, seasonal moments, and customer trends
- Work closely with the designer to brief and review assets for different channels
- Manage influencer outreach, gifting campaigns, and UGC collaborations
- Oversee the planning and performance of paid ad campaigns, working closely with our paid ads specialist to ensure they align with brand objectives and deliver strong results.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone of voice, and visual identity across all channels and materials.
- Protect and strengthen the brand as we grow, making sure it remains relevant and recognisable.
- Translate our brand values into campaigns, partnerships, packaging, and customer experiences.
- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure they are followed by all internal and external collaborators.
- Stay aware of industry trends and competitor activity to help the brand stay distinctive and aligned with our audience
- Manage the artwork development process for the company’s product packaging.
- Ensure packaging designs are consistent with the brand’s visual identity and customer experience goals
- Plan and oversee packaging updates for seasonal campaigns, limited editions, or new product launches
- Monitor packaging timelines to align with marketing calendars and product availability
- Manage a small team consisting of a Marketing Assistant, a Graphic Designer and a Paid Ads Specialist.
- Create clear briefs and processes to help collaborators deliver great work on time.
- Give regular feedback, encourage growth, and ensure everyone is aligned on goals and priorities.
- Support onboarding and training of any future hires.
- Track performance and core metrics across paid and organic channels.
- Translate data into clear insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously test content, creatives, and targeting strategies to improve performance.
- Report on marketing performance to leadership and make data-led decisions
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in a marketing role, with at least 1 year in a strategic or leadership position
- Proven success in building and executing marketing strategies for brands
- Hands-on experience with social media management, email marketing, paid advertising, organic content, and influencer campaigns
- Excellent copywriting, content writing, and content planning skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Experience managing internal team members and freelancers
- A good eye for branding and storytelling
- Collaborative, motivated, and commercially minded individual who takes real ownership of their work
- Experience in food, gifting, or DTC consumer goods is desirable but not essential
