Your mission is to open up access for the company in the form of business development, bring in leads, convert and close profitable deals. Drive Sales in the Enugu area and generate revenue from partnerships and drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Job Purpose:

  • You are responsible for leading a sales team, actively acquire new businesses and manage the current client base within Enugu State
  • You are responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive Sales Strategy 
  • Under your leadership, you are responsible for the team - ensuring repeat business from current clients and providing the best service and delivery
  • You are expected to find new business for the organization and responsible for supporting your team to do the same
  • It is your job to build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients and ensure that your revenue and jobs targets are achieved by doing this


Key Responsibilities

Functional

  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships 
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Partner with Head of Recruitment to effectively close deals from start to finish
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through the delivery of proposals and presentations 
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Report on external forces within country and shift tactical strategic direction of accounts accordingly
  • Align with HR on sales training calendars and ensure constant training and coaching of the team, including ongoing performance management
  • Other related activities and assignments as assigned by supervisor 
  • Set relevant performance outcomes (quarterly) for your team members to ensure that targets are met
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of every deal, working with the Head of recruitment by creating a reporting cadence within your country
  • Working together with the product team to ensure on-going training for the teams on the various products 
  • Work with the Marketing team on leads generation 


Processes

  • Set and manage all relevant meetings between the stakeholders to ensure that information is shared on a continuous basis
  • Adherence to all policies related to your team
  • Ensure 100% CRM compliance


Reporting:

  • Creation of month end reporting 
  • You report weekly to the CEO and Consultant
  • You ensure that you and your team members consistently use and update the CRM.
  • Work with the Recruitment agent to ensure reporting format and reporting cadence
  • Together with the BI team, report on customer segmentation and trends as identified and advise on subsequent strategic initiatives and identified and approved by the CEO
  • Report to Marketing on quality of leads and subsequent deal conversion

Qualifications and relevant experience required

  • HND or BSC in a business-related discipline
  • 7 years+ proven track record and experience in sales (Preferably B2B)
  • Proven business development experience
  • Excellent use of MS office packages
  • Understanding of the H.R. recruitment functions 
  • Deep understanding of reporting 
  • Understanding of costing models 
  • Experience with putting together proposals and presenting of same 
  • Must be familiar with Enugu State and it's environs
