Develop a comprehensive (and continue to improve) Value Proposition for Women Banking as well as Optimizing business opportunities by working with the product and distribution teams on initiatives and strategies to drive proposition penetration and ultimately increase business profitability.

Job Description/Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand current value proposition, identify gaps and build a strong value proposition taking into  consideration female customer needs, market offers, salesforce feedback and match global standards on  solutions and delivery 
  • Manage the profitability of the Proposition and ensure the delivery of the balance sheet assets and liabilities targets 
  • Grow Women Banking portfolio by; Working with the product team to offer attractive/relevant products, schemes and services, Increasing customer engagement through focus groups, surveys and other channels, Engaging the sales force periodically to review the portfolio, understand their challenges (if any), identify training  needs, get feedback on market realities as well as our products and campaigns, Running seasonal campaigns to incentivize the sales force/Customers and increase the run rate 
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to increase proposition penetration ratio per customer segment.
  • Understand reasons behind attrition and come up with strategies to minimize it by developing proactive steps to  be adopted by the Sales team
  • Monitor sales pipeline and identify additional methods of improving performance especially on account opening  and loans turnaround times
  • Map opportunity within the country based on industry and Participate in sales execution plan working closely  with the Product managers 
  • Benchmark our solutions across the market and ensure the competitiveness of our solutions
  • SME Credit - Promote the soliciting, processing, underwriting, and loan closing functions and Channel migration  of Customers to alternate channels (online, debit cards and mobile banking)
  • Drive pre-approved process by working with lending to start offering credit lines to customers based on specific criteria’s. 
  • Provide feedback to the products team on innovative market solutions that would drive liabilities
  • Conduct market research (focus groups) and benchmarking with key competitors 
  • Continuously monitor each customers profitability and take actions on customers who contribute negatively/zero  profit 
  • Migration of customers across segments – once a customer has reached the threshold on MR, draw a structured  mechanism to migrate customer across segments so as to increase product holding of customers to improve  profitability 
  • Should have clearly defined Customer Value Propositions (CVP)  
  • Bundles – sub-segments (e.g.: schools, hospitals etc.) should carry holistic product propositions enabling RM’s to cross-sell other banking solutions such as Insurance, POS, internet Payment Gateway etc. 
  • Drive each customer penetration to maintain a min of 3 Product Per Customer

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Revenue growth 
  • Balance sheet growth 
  • Revenue per customer 
  • Revenue per RMs attached to the segment ( Subjet to agreeing sales Channel) 
  • Product Holding Per Customer 
  • Profitability of Customer 
  • Grow New Accounts opened

Job Requirements: 

  • Must be female 
  • A first degree of any discipline from a recognized  
  • Possession of a post-graduate degree (MBA or MSc is an added advantage 
  • Minimum 7 - 8 years experience in Banking which includes Knowledge of Sales.

  • Mandatory knowledge of Basic CBN policies  and other regulatory policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge and experience of market  segments 
  • Good understanding of Banking Operations
  • Good understanding of Personal & Business  Banking (SME) 
  • Knowledge of top functional applications  required for the job
