Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist with seed sowing, transplanting, and spacing of crops
- Water crops using manual methods or irrigation systems as directed
- Support fertilizer application based on farm instructions
- Weed, prune, trellis, and maintain crops for healthy growth
- Monitor plants daily and report pests, diseases, nutrient issues, or crop stress
- Assist with basic pest control activities under supervision (sanitation, removal of infected plants, traps, etc.)
- Harvest crops carefully and handle produce to avoid damage
- Sort, pack, and label produce according to farm standards
- Clean and maintain greenhouse work areas, tools, trays, and walkways
- Support general greenhouse operations and report equipment issues promptly
- Follow all farm safety rules, hygiene practices, and food safety standards
Requirements:
- Basic education (preferred but not mandatory)
- Farm or greenhouse experience is an advantage, but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work consistently
- Physically fit to work long hours in greenhouse conditions (heat/humidity)
- Ability to lift and carry light-to-medium loads
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Able to work well in a team and take supervision well
